Afrakuma Bannerman/ DanceTeacher
I, Afrakuma Bannerman am a very good & popular Social & Salsa dance teacher. I had been teaching Beginners & Improvers regularly at Franco's/Lorenzo's Tapas Bar in the city, 1A, Pudding Lane, London EC3R 8AB, UK, on Monday evenings. I am now available.
I was selected to star in the Channel 4 TV, Ceroc Dance Documentary within a few weeks of learning Ceroc, in 1996.
I won 1st place at The Roger Woor Memorial Cup Competition in 2004 for Salsa. It was a most enjoyable & memorable event.
Happy workers take pride in their work & can make good companies become great. Healthy staff members tend to work more efficiently & take fewer sick leave.
Companies who encourage their staff to socialise reduce conflicts that build up within the ranks of their staff. Team-Building Social Events are a great way to encourage staff to work happily together.
It is not always necessary to confront issues head-on @ work, however with me being a creative artist & a Jungian analyst, I have fun ways & means that can disperse tension at work, or in a relationship, primarily using social dance. I'll be happy to teach you privately or @ any social event of your choice.
Why Social/Partner Dance?
A periodic dance class can provide your students &/or staff with a great time. It can also encourage them to work in harmony whilst improving their health, co-ordination & social skills.
If you want to combine a gentle exercise with a good social life whilst listening to great music, then partner dancing is for you. If you have had enough of feeling silly getting onto a dance floor, then you need lessons not alcohol (or both if you must). After over-indulging in food, many people will no doubt want to shed a few pounds off their weight. Dancing is so much fun, & it can be one of the most healthy addictions possible.
Any type of dancing is great fun and is a brilliant social asset. It can give you access to a whole new range of friends. Dancing regularly reduces stress, helps to keep you fit, improves your co-ordination, whilst building your confidence & improving your social skills. Partner dancing, in particular, helps you to interact well with other people. It's a partial cure for depression too & it does increase your sense of humour, well being & relationships. We will have great fun together, I promise.
If you are wanting to arrange a Hen Party with a difference then contact me. I can help you off to a flying start by giving your party that hot salsa flavour with loads of fun & laughter.
Maybe you want to discuss some personal problems, I am a fully qualified Jungian Analytical Psychologist who provides a framework of time, empathy & confidential space, where you can talk in privacy & explore issues with me in an honest & useful way.
All forms of partner dancing are about 2 or more people moving together in harmony with the music. It therefore makes sense to learn to understand something about the rhythm of the music in order to dance well with musical interpretation. Spend sufficient time taking lessons & don't skip on practice or you could end up looking like someone in the video clip below:
